How do I clean my tools/am I able to re-use my tools?

Two pack products (e.g. a Part A and Part B)

  • Mixing paddle: As soon as part A and B have been mixed together, as per instruction, hold the paddle in the top third of the bucket and spin the excess resin off - our tubs are oversized to allow for this process.

  • Scuttle (paint tray/bucket): Once the coat is completed, pour any leftover resin back into the original mixing tub and let it cure off. Typically by the next day, you will be able to peel the thin film of resin out of the scuttle, as it's slightly flexible at first.

  • Paint brush/roller sleeve: Single use only, pop in original tub and let it cure off before disposing in general waste.

  • Roller frame: Wipe clean with multi-purpose wipes (i.e. SWIPEX Professional Cleaning Wipes) immediately after the sleeve is taken off.

Cured resin can go into general waste. Make sure anything that might get splashed on is protected with sheets, cleaning resin once cured is next to impossible.

Single pack products (e.g. water-based paints, wood paints)

  • If you are using single pack products, you are able to clean your brushes and rollers with warm, soapy water or paint thinners.
