Below, you will find out general guidelines for application:
Preparation
- Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and the surface should be sanded to create a texture (also known as a mechanical key) prior to applying any Resincoat HB Epoxy Floor Paint.
- When preparing for a floor coat, doing so mechanically (shot-blasting or grinding) is always advisable for best results, but if that is not possible then sanding the area or our Etch and Clean is a good alternative.
- After the surface has been completely abraded, thoroughly sweep and vacuum the area of any remaining dust or contaminants.
Be advised: Etch and Clean can only be used on bare concrete.

Mixing
- Gently stir PART A for 2 minutes to ensure dispersal of pigment.
- Once stirred, pour 100%contents of PART B into the Resincoat High Build Epoxy Floor Paint PART A tin.
- Thoroughly mix by mechanical means (a paddle on the end of a drill) until a uniform colour and texture is achieved and the curing agent has fully dispersed.
Please note: that after mixing both components, 100% of the material must be used in a single application and cannot be stored for later use as chemical curing will occur.

Application
- The mixed unit of Resincoat High Build Epoxy Floor Paint must be applied immediately and with a consistent, thorough coating method. Apply with a Roller and Epoxy Roller Sleeve. Levelled and flat areas should be cross-rolled ensuring an even and smooth finish throughout.
- Move down the floor towards exits and repeat the process until complete. If coating a large area, you may require multiple work-persons.
- The first coat of Resincoat High Build Epoxy Floor Paint should be applied no longer than 24 hours after the primer has cured or is dry to touch. Similarly, the 2nd coat of Resincoat High Build Epoxy Floor Paint should be applied for no longer than 24 hours after the first coat of paint has cured.
Please note: the pot life for this product is 20 minutes. After such time, the product will begin to harden and become unusable.
